This is for people who would like to test for small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO)/ intestinal methanogen overgrowth, a very common cause of bloating, before they book an appointment with us. 
 
Common symptoms of SIBO/IMO include:
Bloating, gas, distension 
Diarrhea

Burping/Belching
 
The TrioSmart Breath test tests for overproduction of hydrogen, hydrogen sulfide, or methane from the gut microbiota that indicates small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) or intestinal methanogen overgrowth (IMO).
 
We will ship you a Triosmart lactulose breath test kit. NOTE: This will go through your insurance if you have a PPO insurance plan, the lab will then charge you any additional fee that your insurance does not cover, this is not covered in the cost of this payment. Most PPO insurance plans cover some/all of the test price. If you do not have insurance then the test of the kit is $319, the lab company will bill you for this directly. 
 
Once we have your results you will be scheduled for an appointment with one of our modrn med doctors to review your results and design a treatment plan for you or suggest any additional tests needed.
